Q & A

Weddings

Q. How much do you charge?
A.
Wedding packages start at $4,200 USD. No deposits required at this time.

Q. What does it include?
A. Pretty much everything. Both packages include a trailer and wedding film. Biggest difference between the two is the premier option which comes with a second shooter and longer run time. Personally not a huge fan of add-ons and hidden costs in general, but I’ve got a few I’m willing to meet you halfway on my services page.

Q. What do I get?
A. You’ll receive digital video files for each deliverable, custom thumbnails for social media, and any music licensing agreements you may need for social media. I take care of all of that for you, no worries.

Q. How long does it take?
A.
Listen, even though Beyoncé’s quadruple-platinum record “All My Single Ladies" (Put a Ring on It) was famously written in 20 minutes, it takes me a little longer to make the magic happen. Average though? 60 - 120 days.

Q. Where are you located? Do you travel?
A.
Southern Pines, North Carolina! Hecks yeah I do, I’ll road trip anywhere for love. Every package is all inclusive for anywhere in NC.

Q. What’s your availability?
A. Though I am an Active Duty Army Officer, I am available every weekend every month. That said I only book 5-6 weddings a year. Reserve a time on my calendar here and we can chat!

Q. Wait wait, you only do the video thing part time? Why should I book you over someone else? Don’t you have to deploy to defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic?
A. Believe it or not, I actually do the same thing in the Army except for a much different purpose (if you can guess my branch I’ll give you a $100 discount!). Most of my work you’ll never see, but let’s just say senior leaders from the Pentagon to the White House are keeping tabs. And no worries on scheduling, I am less operational these days and can predict my schedule up to 18+ months out.

Q. Why haven’t you responded to me?
A.
As a natural introvert and perfectionist, I’m probably trying to conjure a witty opener that will never come. If you cold call me, I will answer with welling admiration for your boldness. 256-541-7988.

Q. Why is this website so dark?
A.
Contrast creates focus! You don’t watch movies with the lights off?

Q. Do you do photography?
A.
I get this question a lot and I suspect it has to do with the name of my company. Story time.

Growing up, my favorite movie directors were always the ones that called movies “the pictures.” Slinging DVDs at Hollywood Video (RIP) every summer meant that I could rent three movies at a time. This cultivated my taste in cinema and exposed me to the maverick filmmakers of the 60’s and 70’s, who all, wait for it, called movies “a picture.” So when it came time to name the engine of my passion that would become my business, I combined two of things I held most dear: my love for the Golden Age of Hollywood and my family.
